Hot off the first edition in Montréal, organized by C2 in collaboration with Michelin, the Movin’On World Summit is back at the Arsenal from May 30 to June 1. The event will once again attract leaders in the sustainable mobility industry, as well as thousands of participants passionate about technological change and advancement. This major event can’t achieve its predicted success without the hundreds of volunteers who will invest their time and talents for the cause. Join the team!

Participating in Movin’On 2018 is to:

  • Work with key players in the field of sustainable mobility
  • Become an integral part of an innovative event and contribute to its national and international influence
  • Invest in a special relationship with other volunteers and the C2 team
  • Receive exclusive training from the professionals on the C2 team

All candidates must be:

  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Available during the entire event, May 30 to June 1, 2018
  • Present at both general training sessions, May 16 (evening) and May 29 (most of the day)

Training specific to some positions will also be assigned.

Activity Registrars
  • Manage registration of participants in different activities according to enrolment
  • Manage queues of registered and unregistered participants
  • Manage registration of unregistered participants if there is room.

Specific availability required: Two team-training evenings (2-3 hours)

Backstage Assistants
  • Respond to any request from the backstage manager
  • Respect schedules and secure closed locations
  • Assist in the set-up of certain spaces (tables and chairs)
  • Ensure conformity and cleanliness of premises and booths
  • Orient the field operations team when needed
  • Assist location managers in their tasks
  • Welcome artists or certain participants on the site
  • Ensure the smooth operation of on-site activities

  • Significant experience in event or show production

Specific availability required: Available for part of or all of May 27 to 30

Customer Service and Crowd Management
  • Welcome participants and offer guidance to the site
  • Manage the crowds on the site and the lineups for all activities

  • Significant experience in crowd management or any related experience
  • Significant experience in customer service
  • Shows leadership, proactive and clever attitude and strong problem-solving skills

Hosts-Collaborative Experiences
  • Accompany location manager and partners during assembly and disassembly of their infrastructures
  • Ensure experimental spaces are welcoming
  • Care for materials
  • Support professional facilitators as needed
  • University undergraduate training in a discipline related to commerce or creativity
  • Sense of organization and resourcefulness
  • Sense of initiative and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English
  • Experience in programming and group facilitation an asset
  • Experience in customer service an asset

Specific availability required: A group interview in the evening (date to be determined)

  • Welcome partners and VIP guests
  • Respond to all unforeseen partner needs (logistics, catering, programming, guests)
  • Contribute to the smooth running of partners’ private activities
  • Assist representatives of the partners during the course of activities and answer their questions about the site
  • Work closely with Movin’On’s partnership team
  • Resourceful and personable
  • Sense of initiative and proactive attitude
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in catering an asset

Specific availability required: A group interview evening (May 1 and 2). One team training evenings (May 15, 16 or 17)

  • Actively listen in workshops and make relevant notes
  • Participate in editorial meetings and share what was learned
  • Produce clear notes modeled on the templates provided by the editorial team
  • In a very short time frame, turn these notes into engaging content for Movin’On 2018 Minutes
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism, business, or similar experience/training
  • Quick witted
  • Analytical and organized mind, with the ability to pick out the important details of a conversation
  • Impeccable writer, in at least one of the two official languages, especially in English
  • Excellent speaking skills, bilingual
  • Intimate knowledge of the business world and strong interest in the themes of Movin’On 2018
  • Rigour and attention to detail
  • Journalistic experience an asset

Specific availability required: Training sessions one night per week from mid-April to mid-May, full availability during the event and part-time the following week for writing and follow-up. Priority to candidates who will also commit to C2.

Press Attachés
  • Ensure the welcoming of journalists
  • Coordinate press room activities
  • Assist with interview management
  • Accompany some journalists to various activities
  • Superior ability to organize and work under pressure
  • Experience in local or international press relations

Speakers’ Stewards
  • Guide speakers through their Movin’On experience
  • Ensure the schedule is followed

The Squad
  • Acts instantly in all unforeseen situations

  • Helps with site logistics: charging stations, rain plans, shuttles, taxis and traffic

Specific availability required: Group interview (date to be determined). A team training evening (2 hours)

  • Direct participants in the conference rooms (Cabaret and Grand Chapiteau) to ensure optimum occupancy of available seats

  • Direct the participants and inform them of the different services offered
