Jon Rimanelli earned his pilot’s license in just 12 days. He has now logged over a thousand hours in the cockpit.

Jon Rimanelli is an electronics entrepreneur and founder of Detroit Aircraft Corporation, Nextronix Inc, and Airspace Experience Technologies LLC (AirSpaceX). He has more than twenty years of experience in the design, fabrication, and contract manufacturing of high-reliability electronic components for automotive, aerospace and communications systems.

In 2013, Detroit Aircraft teamed up with US aerospace and defense giant to manufacture and distribute the electric Vertical take-off and Landing UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) for civil, military and commercial customers worldwide.
In 2014, he established a partnership with the Detroit Fire Department to integrate unmanned aircraft systems into DFD’s new Fire Training Academy and field operations.

His latest venture is AirSpaceX, an air mobility company on a mission to deliver affordable, on-demand urban mobility solutions. It is currently developing MOBi, an electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft that enables fast, clean, and reliable air transportation.
